Zeta is a 1986 AQHA registered sorrel mare with flaxen mane and tail. She is NFQHA registered at 83% foundation and eligible for registration with WFQHA at 88%. She stands 15.3 hands tall and weighs approximately 1100 pounds. We just discovered that Zeta carries the Sabino gene which can produce some loud white coloring on her foals. One characteristic of this gene is the white coloring on Zeta's lower lip and chin. Jess is the only one of her foals to date that reflects this gene openly. (We were wondering where those stockings came from!) Her other foals may carry it and portray it upon their progeny when bred. We shall see. Zeta carries a majority of racing blood on her immediate pedigree. You’ll recognize such greats as Mr. Stacy Meyers, Go Man Go, Hard Twist, Miss Meyers, Three Bars, Wimpy and Leo just to name a few. She exhibits a longer, leaner stature and is a pleasure to ride and incredibly fast on her feet. Zeta came to live with us at the age of 13. She was contested by her previous owners, but not in any point earning shows. She has a smooth gait and wonderful temperament. She and I may enter the ring at some point, but for now we just enjoy each other’s company while riding around the farm. Zeta became a proud Mama for the first time at the age of 15 in the spring of 2001. She gave birth to a sorrel filly named Zetas Skippn Miracle who resides on the farm. Zeta’s a loving and nurturing mother. Zeta has had four foals to date. Miracle, her first is also of leaner, taller build like Zeta and is a speed event prospect. Zeta's 2002 foal is a palomino gelding named Skippa Best Star. Her third foal, Kings Majestic Best, a bay filly by King has some unique coloring due to Zeta's color genetics and has the beautiful fluid gaits of her daddy. Zeta's fourth foal, her second by King is a black colt named Matador De La Noche which means Matador of the Night in Spanish. He was shown for the first time as a weanling and placed 1st in trail and 2nd in halter. Zeta had a bay filly by King in 2006 named Kings Ode to Joy. Zeta was not bred in 2006 or 2007. We gave the girls a rest in 2006 and Neil returned to college in 2007 so none of the girls were bred. Zeta's foals with King will be NFQHA & WFQHA eligible at the below percentages: NFQHA 89% WFQHA 93.22% CLICK HERE TO VIEW ZETA'S PEDIGREE
