NFQHA BLOOD ANALYSIS CHART (shows all TB blood in pedigree) At the end of the 2005 foaling season, King has sixteen foals on the ground, the oldest being three years old. King has sired 8 colts and 8 fillies, 11 of which are buckskin, 1 black, 3 bay and one bay roan. Three of his foals have been shown to date and have earned points in various associations. His progeny can be viewed on our "foals" pages. We update the photos and information frequently so please check back often. King's color has proven to be very dominant thus far and although the color presentation on his foals is very impressive and exciting to us, we can NOT guarantee the color of a foal. We will be happy to review a 4 generation color pedigree of your mare and let you know what color your resulting foal MAY be if your mare is bred to King. Color genetics is NOT an exact science - yet. We have had many questions about Kings color and what color foal a mare owner could expect when breeding to King. We've now added a page about Kings color and that of his foals. Please see our Color page for more information. In four foaling seasons, we have definitely seen a "type" of foal produced by King. We have come to expect those King facial features, full manes & tails, the correct conformation, gentle disposition, athleticism and regal way in which the foals carry themselves. King tends to minimize facial white although each foal has at least a tiny star. His rear sock and pastern are also fairly dominantly expressed. King spent a year in reining training with Jerry Hornberger of Munfordville, Kentucky. Jerry has also trained Neil in the art of riding a reining horse. King loves to work and perform and responds so well to his rider that a bridle is optional. King is frequently ridden with just a lead rope around his neck. Children and adults of all riding levels come to the farm and ride King. We invite you to ride him yourself if you come to the farm for a visit. To date, King has shown natural ability in reining, cutting, ranch riding and barrels. He has a winning disposition and regal presence that certainly get him noticed. His ability, style and ever-willing attitude have been passed on to his foals. To meet him is to love him. He's certainly a one of a kind horse. With limited showing as a 3 year old in the WFQHA, King placed in the top three and earned points each time shown in conformation, reining and ranch riding. Due to the time constraints of our employment and family responsibilities, we took a break from showing. King deserves his day in the show arena as he has so much to give and we are realigning our schedules and activities to be able to do such. Look for him back in the show ring in 2006. We are planning to show King with the NRHA, and the IBHA (International Buckskin Horse Assn). Kings sire, King of Four Mac earned 124 AQHA performance points including a ROM, Superior and Hi Point Horse in reining. He has also produced several high point earners. Continental King was the first horse inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame in 1988. His great grandsire is the immortal King P234. King's dam, Cow Pasture (though not blessed with a pretty name) is a gorgeous registered buckskin mare. She was trained by the famed Matlock Rose, has earned performance points with FQHR and was sold as a four year old in 1995 for $9000.00. Her pedigree includes many great notables such as Royal King, Poco Bueno, Two Eyed Jack, Beaver Creek, Skipper W, too many to mention. She's only been bred to the best. We are very sorry to hear of the passing of King of Four Mac. He passed away in the summer of 2005. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wonderful owner and friend, Don Beasley. We are putting together photos of King of Four Mac, but have found very few. If anyone has some to share, they would be appreciated. Coming soon!!!! Video of King Wimpy Matador in Action! We have added photos of many horses to King's pedigree above. Just click on the underlined name for available photo. If you have any pictures you'd like to add to our database, please send them.
