Neil 'N' K was honored to have Blizzard Rose on a breeding lease for the 2004 - 2005 season. Rosie returned home in November 2005. She is a 1993 AQHA 16.1 hand Impressive bred sorrel mare. She was ridden as a young mare, but sustained a kick to her rear right hock, ending her riding days. The injury, though healed has left some bone chips in the area. Rosie and Panita were pasture mates on their owners farm and have become acclimated as herd members with our mares. Rosie, though the tallest mare on the farm is the most submissive. She's a well built mare and fun to be around. Most of the mares at Neil 'N' K have racing and cow pedigrees and Rosie brought in a new mix with her halter bred bloodlines. With Rosie, we had the intention of crossing a taller halter type bred mare with King's foundation and performance breeding to produce a foal that would compete well in halter as well as performance events. As we had hoped, the cross between Rosie and King produced an excellent foal. Rosie's first King colt, Continental Phoenix was born in April of 2005 and it was clear at birth that he was a winner. He is an excellent versatile prospect for halter, cutting, reining, western pleasure, whatever your desired discipline. He has the natural extended gait for western pleasure yet the moves for cutting and reining. He loves to cow! We have decided to concentrate on showing King and training the younger horses on the farm and did not pursue the purchase option on our breeding lease. As a result, Rosie was sold and moved to Missouri with new mom Ashley Amick. Rosie is a wonderful mare and was bred back to King for a March 2006 foal. Sadly, her filly named Innocence passed away in January 2007 of a twisted intestine. Since Rosie is impressive bred, she is not eligible for registration with WFQHA but IS eligible for registration with NFQHA since her HYPP status is N/N. Her HYPP status is stated on her registration. Since she is N/N, both of her King foals will be N/N. To view Rosie's Pedigree, click here.

Rosie's profile. Yes, I retouched the photo and not too well. She was standing in front of the manure pile and you don't want to see that. September 2004
